National Psoriasis Foundation Events:

Events, organized by location, are listed below. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Kim Schleyer at kschleyer@psoriasis.org and she will coordinate your involvement.

CHICAGO

·      Chicago Division Board: “We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are interested in leadership opportunities to expand our mission throughout the Chicagoland area. We are currently looking to recruit our Development Chair who will work alongside our Division Chair in expanding our mission throughout Chicago. Additional volunteers needed in the areas of advocacy, join us for our Illinois Lobby Day and share your story, education and outreach, be a part of our development task team, help us build our special events, media and more. We meet quarterly in the downtown Chicago area.”

·      Team NPF Cycle in Chicago: “Become a volunteer on our Team NPF Cycle committee. We meet monthly. If you are interested in building awareness about psoriatic disease in our community.”

  • WHAT: “Let’s log miles to find a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Join us, because finding a cure for these devastating diseases is not a sprint, it’s a marathon (or maybe a 10K).”
  • $500 fundraising minimum

Other ways to get involved:
  • Become a student ambassador: “Apply to be a Student Ambassador and represent the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) at your school. Help raise awareness of psoriatic diseases and the services the NPF offers. Provide support for people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in your town.”
  • Become a One to One mentor: “Help people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis cope with their condition by sharing what you have learned. Provide emotional support, practical advice and direct others to access to care resources. Help people living with psoriatic diseases develop goals for a healthier lifestyle. Training is provided.”
  • Advocate for better care for people with psoriatic disease: “Are you worried about the rising costs of medications for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis? Do you wish more research was being done to find a cure for psoriatic disease? You can do something about it. Join the movement to advocate for better access to care and increased federal funding to help the millions with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.”
